Hidden in the Limpopo province approximately 300km from JHB or Pretoria -Segodi Game Lodge- awaits you. Setteled roughly halfway between Thabazimbi & Ellisras deep in the Savannah Bushveld of Africa, we offer a pristine Game Lodge and Hunting farm of roughly 1000ha fully game fenced.
Segodi Game Lodge is a unique piece of untaimed bushveld with exclusive bow blinds and rifle hunting areas, with species ranging from the elusive Steenbuck to the gracefull Giraffe. a Wide variety of African game species occur on Segodi-s sandveld including: Common Duiker, steenbuck, Bushbuck, Wharthog, Impala, Blesbuck, Red hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Gemsbuck, Kudu, Zebra, Waterbuck, Eland, Giraffe and Ostrich. Other Game such as Leopard, Cheetah, Brown hyena, Caracal, Aardwolf, African Civet, Bat eared fox and Black Blacked Jackal are common too.
Surounded by Pristine Savannah Bushveld, underlying sweet bushveld areas or fine leaved savanna dominated by Acacia species with large thorn trees such as distinctive Camelthorn, and a variety of other abundant Acacia species such as Umbrella thorn, Scented thorn, Sweet thorn and Bluethorn to name a few, and the beautiful ancient Shepard-s trees defines this area. On the contrary the broad leaved or a sour mixed bushveld with spectacular big Marula trees, dominated by Red Bushwillow, Silver cluster leave and Round-leaved teak species forming a open to closed wooldland area. The diversity of these scenic vegetation types on sandy landscapes together with abundant wildlife and thrilling atmosphere of untaimed African Bushveld makes Segodi a paradise for everybody.
Segodi also has prolific birdlife with more than 200 bird species been recorded, and where it-s name dirived from, the astonishing - Southern Pale Chanting Coshawk / Bleeksingvalk- also known as -Segodi- in the Tswanna Language. This amazing bird of prey patrols the sky and keep watch over this unique piece of bushveld.
Segodi Game Lodge is situated in close proximaty to Steenbokpan and the Matlabas river on the Soutpan road in Lephalale or previosly known as Ellisras area in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.
