J.L Electric was established in 1988. (Long before garage & gate motors became popular ) At that time we predominantly did electrical house wiring and electrical contract work. In the early 90's we started to specialize in Gate motors, Garage motors, Intercoms & Electric fencing. It was not long before we started to specialize in CCTV ( security cameras ), Wireless / Cellphone-based Intercoms, Video Intercoms, Outdoor Security Beams and Detectors, Indoor Alarm systems, Outdoor floodlights / LED Lights & Day-Night Lights. We still do electrical work and issue electrical certificates of compliance. ( COC's )

Gate Automation :

We sell, repair & install all kinds of gate motors. We concentrate on Gemini & Centurion but we also repair DTS, Hansa, DACE ( Duraslide ) & ET gate motors. When repair is not a good option, we will advise replacement. For such a replacement we would only recommend Gemini or Centurion gate motors

We also service and re-condition Gemini & Centurion gate motors, so If you're looking for a bargain, we often have re-conditioned motors on sale. New Gemini & Centurion motors are always on sale for much less than the recommended retail prices.

Garage Automation :

As with gate automation, we also sell, repair & install all kinds of garage motors. For sectional or tip-up doors we recommend Gemini operators. For Roll up doors, the Centurion RDO motor is the best choice. New Gemini & Centurion motors are always on sale for much less than the recommended retail prices.

We repair Gemini, Centurion RDO or XTrac, Digidoor, Pro Alpha & ET garage motors. We also service garage doors and adjust garage springs & cables.
