Motala Perfumes was launched in 2010 by Talha Motala. In late 1990's Talha Motala grew up watching his father selling perfumes at the mosque, which played a huge role in start up of Motala Perfumes in 2010. Back in 2010 Motala Perfumes was a part time business while he was still studying at University level.

In June 2014 Motala Perfumes first ever factory store was launched in Durban. Since then Motala Perfumes has grown in to the biggest perfume manufacturing house in Southern Africa.
