Carla Mowat Physiotherapy is a home-based practice, situated in Garsfontein, Pretoria East. Carla focuses on quality, hands-on treatments of musculoskeletal and lung conditions.

Carla has experience in private hospital and out-patient treatment of a variety of conditions and patients. Commonly treated conditions range from sports injuries such as muscle strains and ankle sprains to back and neck pain and headaches.

Through her experience in ICU and hospitals as well as outpatient practices, Carla has become passionate about treating adults and children with acute and recurring bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma and sinusitis and believes in the value of lung physio in bringing relief to these common ailments.

In addition to her honours degree, Carla has completed certificates in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, dry needling and chronic pain. Carla is confident and determined to assess and treat your aches and pains!

Carla graduated from University of Pretoria (Tuks) in 2014 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy and went on to complete her comserve year at Far East Rand Hospital. Thereafter, she worked at a well-established private physiotherapy practice in Pretoria East as well as working extensively at Life Wilgers and Netcare Pretoria East hospitals. In subsequent years, she locummed for six different practices to increase and diversify her experience in hospital and out-patient practices.

She has a special interest in spinal conditions as well as chronic pain conditions and enjoys working with older patients and younger patients alike. Carla would like to ultimately use her enthusiasm and passion to educate her patients about healthy living and managing chronic pain conditions in order to keep performing and living life to the fullest.
