Since its launch in January 2014, Trevolta has been a successful crowdfunding platform for travelers worldwide. To date, it has raised over $200,000 USD with the help of such companies as Samsung, Hertz, Hampton Inn, Energizer and others. With 450,000 registered users and over 41,000 followers on Facebook and 8,000 on Twitter, Trevolta is now looking to expand its reach and offer additional revenue streams. Recently, it partnered with South African Airways to launch a campaign that attracted over 70,000 users and generated video content which enabled SAA to use it in their TV advertisements.

In November 2014, Trevolta 2.0 will be released. It will allow users to create a trip and share their experiences while also activating the crowdfunding module when needed. It will also introduce a Market, where travelers can make requests such as accommodation, transportation, rock-climbing equipment, and bikes to rent. Companies and other travelers will then be able to offer their services to accommodate those requests.

The aim of Trevolta 2.0 is to keep growing the passionate community of travelers and build a database of travel experiences. This is a need that is currently being recognized by the userbase.
